Andre Louf (1 en 2)
Vijfendertig jaar lang was hij abt van de Catsberg in Frans-Vlaanderen. Nu leeft hij als kluizenaar in Zuid-Frankrijk. Het lijdt geen twijfel: André Louf is een van de grote spirituele leiders van onze tijd. In Vlaanderen werd hij vooral bekend met zijn boek ‘Heer, Leer ons bidden.’ In 2004 schreef hij ook nog de kruiswegmeditaties van paus Joannes-Paulus II voor de kruisweg in het Collosseum in Rome. Aan Marc Roseeuw vertelt hij over zijn jonge jaren, zijn stoute vlucht over de Frans-Belgische grens, en zijn beweegredenen om trappist te worden. Ook over het gebed en het celibaat heeft de mysticus een uitgesproken mening.

Andre Louf (1 en 2)
For over thirty-five years he was the abbot of the Catsberg abbey in Frans-Vlaanderen. Now he lives as a hermit in the south of France. There’s no doubt: André Louf is one of the great spiritual leaders of our time. In Flanders Louf became known for his book: ‘Lord, teach us how to pray’. In 2004 he wrote the meditations for the way of the cross of pope John-Paul II in the collosseum of Rome. André Louf tells of his younger years, his flight across the Franco-Belgian border, and his reasons to become an trappist monk. This mystic has an articulated view on prayer and celibacy.

Pendant plus de trente-cinq ans, André Louf fut abbé de l'abbaye de Catsberg en Flandre française. Actuellement, il vit en ermite dans le sud du France. André Louf est sans aucun doute, l'un des guides spirituels majeurs de notre époque. En Flandre, il s’est fait connaître par son livre ‘Seigneur, enseigne-nous à prier'. En 2004, il a écrit les méditations pour le chemin de croix du Pape Jean Paul II dans le Colisée de Rome. André Louf raconte à Marc Roseeuw ses jeunes années, sa fuite par la frontière franco-belge, et ses raisons de devenir un moine trappiste. Ce mystique a également un point de vue bien clair sur la prière et le célibat.

Lucette Verboven ontmoet Olivier Clément, Fransman en Orthodox. Hij werd in 1921 geboren in het zonnige Zuid-Frankrijk en ongelovig opgevoed in een rechtgeaard Frans “laïcistisch” denkend gezin. Als leraar geschiedenis aan één van de grote lycea van Parijs bleef hij zoeken naar de zin van dit leven en deze wereld, tot bij de oosterse godsdiensten. Uiteindelijk vond hij licht en bevrijding in de orthodoxe kerk, waarin hij dertig jaar oud gedoopt werd. Hij werd hoogleraar in de orthodoxe theologie aan het Institut Saint-Serge en aan het Institut Catholique van Parijs.

Olivier Clément
Lucette Verboven meets Olivier Clément, French and orthodox. He was born in 1921 in the sunny south of France. He was educated without faith in a right-minded French liberal family. As teacher of history at one of the large lyceums of Paris he continued the search for the sense of this life and this world, up to the oriental religions. Eventually he found light and release in the Orthodox Church, in which he was baptized thirty years old. He became professor orthodox theology at the Institute Saint-Serge and to the 'Institut Catholique' of Paris.

Olivier Clément
Lucette Verboven rencontre Olivier Clément, français et orthodoxe. Né en 1921 dans le sud ensoleillé de la France, il a été instruit de manière athée dans une famille laïque française. Professeur d’histoire dans un grand lycée parisien, il continue à chercher la signification de cette vie et de ce monde, jusque dans les religions orientales. Finalement, il trouve la lumière et la libération dans l'église orthodoxe où il est baptisé à trente ans. Ensuite, il devient professeur à la Faculté de théologie orthodoxe de l'Institut Saint-Serge et de l'Institut Catholique de Paris.

Na de moord op frère Roger heeft frère Aloïs als nieuwe prior de fakkel overgenomen. Wij gingen hem ter plaatse interviewen. Hoe komt het dat deze groep van meer dan 100 broeders blijft groeien? Wat is de aantrekkingskracht van Taizé en dit al meer dan 60 jaar? Elk jaar organiseren de broeders van Taizé in een wereldstad een internationale bijeenkomst van jongeren. Men wil samen met jonge mensen zoeken naar hoop voor deze wereld. De Europese jongerenontmoeting van de broeders van Taizé vond eind 2008 plaats in Brussel.

Frère Alois
After the assassination of frère Roger frère Aloïs bacame the new prior of the ecumenical community of Taizé. Braambos met him on the spot. Why does this group of more than 100 brothers continues to grow? What are the reasons behind the success of Taizé, for already more than 60 years? This community of Taizébrothers is also organizing a yearly international meeting of young people in one or another world city, looking with youngsters for hope in this world. In 2008, this European meeting took place in Brussels.

Frère Alois
Après l'assassinat de Frère Roger, Frère Aloïs devient le nouveau prieur de la communauté œcuménique de Taizé. Braambos l'a rencontré sur place. Comment est-il possible que ce groupe de plus de 100 frères continue de grandir ? Quels sont les raisons du succès de Taizé et ceci depuis déjà plus de 60 ans? Chaque année, les frères de Taizé organisent dans une métropole, une réunion internationale des jeunes, à la recherche de l'espoir pour ce monde. En 2008, cette rencontre européenne de jeunes a eu lieu à Bruxelles.
